First Baptist Church Tyler secured property to develop an outreach in the southern end of Tyler. They employed Fitzpatrick.Butler to design a Multipurpose Building and they employed RPR Construction Company to construct the facility. The multipurpose room can be configured for worship as well as classroom space, banquets, weddings, plays, theatrical events and conferences. The enlarged foyer or “Gathering Room” is used for a variety of functions including meetings for smaller groups. The multipurpose room will accommodate 600 seats. A caterer’s kitchen was built to complement the full food prep kitchen at the FBC Downtown Campus. The project was completed with the contingency fees untouched. The outdoor amphitheater was then constructed from the savings generated by the project.
